My name is Will Russell and my hometown is Tomahawk, Wisconsin. I came to Madison to pursue a degree in biology with a global health minor.
While at UW-Madison, I walked onto the men's crew team and participated as an athlete for all four years. I ended my career as a college rower stroking the 3V at the IRA National Championships both junior and senior years. Post college, I am currently working as the Executive Assistant at Little John's Kitchens, a Fitchburg based non-profit focused on food security for underserved communities in the Madison area.
To keep my fitness and competitive edge, I now train for triathlons, hoping to one day work my way up to completing an Ironman. I've been in athletics and on teams throughout my entire life and I am excited to pass on the knowledge I have to the next generation of rowers.
