Steve Schaefer

Steve Schaefer, President

Steve Schaefer practices law with Schaefer Law Office, Madison, Wisconsin. He represents clients in all aspects of civil litigation and concentrates his practice in the area of employment law, representing parties involved in discrimination disputes.

In 1973, he received his B.A. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in economics and graduated with Distinctive Scholastic Achievement, Phi Beta Kappa, and Kappa Kappa Gamma. In 1977, Mr. Schaefer received his J.D. from the University of Wisconsin Law School, graduating cum laude. He completed his M.A. in business administration from Edgewood College in August 1997.

Mr. Schaefer has authored several articles and frequently speaks about employment-related issues. Mr. Schaefer teaches employment law at the Edgewood College Graduate and Undergraduate Business Programs and at the Lakeland College Undergraduate Business Program.

William Olson

William Olson

William Olson is a 1972 graduate of the UW-Madison Law School. His practice is concentrated in Wisconsin Workers Compensation cases. A former defense lawyer for insurance companies, Mr. Olson now works exclusively for individual employees.

Bill Olson is a lecturer and instructor on Wisconsin Workers Compensation topics, delivering legal updates and continuing education seminars to attorneys, vocational experts, human resource managers, and medical personnel involved in the field of Workers Compensation. Mr. Olson is a member of the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Dane County Bar Association. His practice is in Wisconsin.

Gregory G. Kolden

Gregory G. Kolden

Greg Kolden is a Professor in the Department of Psychiatry of the University of Wisconsin Medical School where he has worked since 1992. He was an undergraduate at St. Olaf College and completed a Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Northwestern University. His research interests broadly focus on the evaluation of efficacy of behavioral interventions and the mechanisms underlying the changes that result from such treatments. Greg also teaches Interpersonal Psychotherapy and directs a clinical program for the treatment of mood disorders. Greg became a "crew parent" when his daughter, Anna, took up the sport after taking the MSCR Learn to Row course. He is now an avid fan and ardent supporter of CRRC.

Becky Tradewell

Becky Tradewell

Becky Tradewell is a managing attorney at the Wisconsin Legislative Reference Bureau, where she has worked since 1985. She graduated from Princeton University and the University of Wisconsin Law School. Becky first became involved with crew at Princeton, rowing for the first two years of women's crew at the school. Her daughter, Claire, a student at Madison East High School, has been rowing since taking the Learn to Row class during 2003.

Qualifications, Election and Term. The management of the Club is vested in a Board of Directors consisting of thirteen (13) members. The Directors of the Club need not be members of the Club and are elected at the annual meeting of the Board of Directors by the vote of a majority of the number of directors then in office. Directors hold office for a four (4) year term from the date elected until February 28 of the year in which their term is to expire or until their successors are duly appointed.
